Job Purpose and Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Regulatory Data Publication Specialist with experience in the food and beverage industry to support the publication and compliance of product data across digital and retail channels. This role is responsible for data publication through the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN), ensuring Key Account data compliance, and supporting sustainability reporting for certifications like RSPO and Rainforest Alliance. The ideal candidate understands the regulatory and labeling requirements specific to food products and is passionate about maintaining accurate, high-quality product data.

 

Work Environment & Travel: This position is eligible for either a fully remote or hybrid work environment, depending on the candidate’s preference and proximity to a company office within the United States, with up to 15% travel. The working schedule is Monday through Friday during normal business hours, typically 8 AM- 5 PM local time. 

 

What will you do as a Senior Regulatory Data Publication Specialist at Dawn Foods? 

  • Ensure product data and vendor compliance requirements are met for major food retailers and distributors (e.g., Walmart, Kroger, Costco, PFG, etc.).
  • Maintain product content and vendor information within customer-required portals (e.g., TraceGains, Repositrak, Document Compliance). 
  • Facilitate completion and submission of item setup forms, product questionnaires, vendor agreements, and food safety documents to meet Key Account requirements.
  • Publish and maintain product content via GDSN, ensuring customer compliance and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Support third-party product content collection via GDSN and Syndigo, collaborating with internal teams and external resources on issue resolution and process improvement.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to integrate the data pool and internal systems (ERP, PLM, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met for certified sustainable products, such as Responsibly Sourced Palm Oil (RSPO) and Rainforest Alliance Cocoa (RFA), including monthly vendor verification, quarterly traceability reporting, and annual audit support.
  • Manage customer requests for RSPO and RFA product assessments and surveys.
  • Work closely with Regulatory Affairs, QA, R&D, Procurement, Legal, and Sales teams to collect and validate product data and supplier information to support customer needs.
  • Other data publication and support duties as assigned

 

What Does It Take to be a Senior Regulatory Data Publication Specialist at Dawn Foods? 

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.   

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field, or a minimum of 4 years of experience in product data management or regulatory/quality data coordination, preferably in the food or similar industry, in lieu of a degree.
  • Basic understanding of food labeling laws, FDA requirements, and food safety and quality processes.
  • Ability to quickly learn and effectively navigate regulatory databases, data publication systems, and key account portals.
  • Knowledge of GS1 standards for food product data publication (e.g., GS1-128 barcodes, attribute requirements) is a benefit.
  • Experience reporting on RSPO and/or Rainforest Alliance is a plus.
  • Solid Microsoft Excel skills and experience with data analysis.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative and relationship-based approach in working with internal and external stakeholders.

Compensation

$57,300 - $87,100 with bonus eligibility
