Job Purpose and Overview
Under minimal management direction, the SAP BW Business Analyst / Developer will coordinate business warehouse (BW) activities and operations with Dawn Business users and the technical department, including development, maintenance, and enhancement of existing reports, but is not limited to the following…
- Partners with the Business to understand business requirements and how such requirements translate into SAP BI/BW and BOBJ
- Analyze and document the business requirements helping to identify problems and propose solutions
- Research, plan, coordinate and recommend business software and system choices to meet the business requirements
- Understand, interpret and suggest resolution to technical systematic issues
- Develop high level functional and technical designs
- Design, build, test & document multi-dimensional models & reports
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
- Supports departmental functions/usage of Dawn's SAP modules; evaluates business requirements and implements solutions; configures, modifies, and coordinates testing of released objects.
- Creates and documents BW strategies; and develops, coordinates and executes standards, policies, methods and procedures for SAP BW processes.
- Provides day-to-day technical direction and leadership for SAP BW processes; ability to accomplish deliverables involving complex and highly analytical tasks.
- Administers/coordinates upgrades and system patches; provides project leadership of large-scale system modifications.
- Defines, documents, develops and tests: reports, multi-providers, info-providers, DSOs, extractors, extractor enhancements, transfer/update routines, APDs and process chains.
- Demonstrates the "Dawn Values" of Team Dawn and supports the Circle of Excellence.
- Domestic travel up to 10%
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training:
- Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, information technology, business administration or a related field.
- Advanced English is essential for the role
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- The SAP BI/BW Business Analyst should have sound analytical skills to understand the Dawn Foods organization and its functions
- Proficiency with various programming languages, operating systems and computer hardware platforms - specifically SAP-BW, SAP-ABAP and SAP-ECC
- Proficiency with Business Objects reporting tools specifically Analysis for Office, Design Studio & Web Intelligence
- Verbal and written communication skills to communicate technical systematic requirements effectively
- Proficiency in development methodologies
- Data modeling
- Organization skills to successfully drive a high-level of business requirements
- Interpersonal skills to work with end users and other IT professionals
- Technical and problem-solving skills
- BW on HANA or HANA experience desired
- BW-IP - Integrated Planning experience desired
- BW/BPC Integration experience desired
- Formal SAP certifications desired
Physical Requirements:
- Up to 10% travel
Schedule: This is a Monday–Friday day position, 60% office - 40% home office. This role is based on Mexico City being part of a Global Team. Working in an Easten Time Zone (US & Canada).
