Job Purpose and Overview
Coordinate SAP system activities and operations with Dawn Business users, including development, maintenance, and enhancement of existing SAP PP/QM modules. Provide guidance and direction to peers and business counterparts to independently lead technology projects and initiatives. This role will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing SAP solutions to support manufacturing operations and business objectives. SAP solutions to support finance operations and business objectives.
Schedule: This is a Monday–Friday day position, 60% office - 40% home office. This role is based on Mexico City being part of a Global Team. Working in an Easten Time Zone (US & Canada).
What will you do as an SAP BA OPS II at Dawn Foods?:
- Experienced in analyzing and evaluating SAP system processes and user needs to design effective solutions.
- Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP PP and QM modules.
- Skilled in configuring and optimizing the full production planning lifecycle: demand management, MRP runs, capacity planning, shop floor execution, and order settlement.
- Proficient in Quality Management processes including inspection planning, in-process inspection, results recording, quality notifications, and integration with procurement and manufacturing.
- Ensure seamless integration with MRP systems, including planning strategies, BOMs, routings, work centers, and scheduling parameters.
- Resolve critical SAP development issues and propose both short- and long-term solutions to meet system requirements.
- Support departmental functions by evaluating system needs, implementing solutions, and coordinating testing of released objects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PP/QM with MM, WM, SD, CO, and FI modules.
- Develop and document strategies, standards, policies, and procedures for ERP business processes.
- Provide day-to-day technical leadership for SAP PP and QM processes, managing complex and analytical deliverables.
- Administer system upgrades and patches; lead large-scale system modifications.
- Consult with business process owners to define and document operational procedures, input/output requirements, and system access levels.
- Analyze and develop requirements for system enhancements, ensuring alignment with user needs.
- Execute and coordinate system integration testing; troubleshoot and resolve configuration errors.
- Provide operational support, implement fixes, and deliver additional features as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in developing proposals for new systems.
- Stay current with ERP trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Review new functional requirements and assess their impact on the SAP production environment.
What does it take to be an SAP BA OPS II at Dawn Foods:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, information systems or related, or equivalent work experience with applicable associate’s degree
- Advanced English is essential for the role
- Over 8 years of hands-on experience as a Senior SAP PP/QM Consultant.
- Deep expertise in SAP configuration and implementation of:
- Production Orders, Order Settlements, and COGI.
- Quality Management (QM), Batch Management, Contracts/Agreements, Material Costing, BOMs, and Production Resources & Recipes.
- Proven ability to configure SAP PP and QM modules to meet complex business requirements.
- Successfully led at least two full lifecycle implementations as an SAP PP and/or QM functional consultant.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to anticipate and communicate issues proactively.
- Skilled in analyzing and troubleshooting ERP system issues, offering effective solutions.
- Experienced in custom development lifecycle, debugging, and collaboration with ABAP teams.
- Proficient in data migration tools such as LSMW and Migration Cockpit.
- Hands-on experience with BAPIs, BADIs, APIs, middleware, and BTEs in coordination with ABAP developers.
- Experience working with offshore support teams and third-party vendors.
- Familiarity with baked goods manufacturing and distribution processes.
- Exposure to SAP SCM, APO, and WM modules.
- Ability to support multiple SAP modules and non-SAP applications (custom or third-party).
- Experience with SAP Integration technologies including PI and BTP.
