Basic Purpose:
The SAP Procurement Analyst works under minimal management direction, coordinates SAP system activities and operations with Dawn Business users, including development, maintenance, and enhancement of existing SAP Procure to Pay (P2P) module. The SAP Procurement Analyst must be able to provide guidance and direction to peers and business counterparts to independently lead technology projects and initiatives. This role will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing SAP solutions to support finance operations and business objectives.
Essetial Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, configuration, development, and deployment of SAP procurement processes.
- Implement and optimize the full procurement cycle: purchase requisitions (PR) to purchase orders (PO), stock transport orders (STO), goods receipt, invoice verification, release strategies, and procurement reporting.
- Strong understanding of SAP MRP processes and integration with external planning and replenishment systems.
- Configures system enhancements where appropriate
- Co-ordinates testing of system modifications
- Analyzes and evaluates SAP system processes and user needs
- Resolves critical SAP development issues
- Researches, develops, and proposes both short and long-term solutions to SAP system requirements.
- Supports departmental functions/usage of Dawn’s SAP modules; evaluates system requirements and implements solutions; configures, modifies, and coordinates testing of released objects
- Creates and documents strategies; and develops, coordinates and executes standards, policies, methods and procedures for ERP business processes.
- Provides day-to-day technical direction and leadership for SAP business P2P processes; ability to accomplish deliverables involving complex and highly analytical tasks.
- Administers/coordinates upgrades and system patches; provides project leadership for large-scale system modifications.
- Consults with multiple Business process owners to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements and levels of system access.
- Analyzes and develops requirements for enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits user needs.
- Executes or coordinates system integration testing; performs tests and modifies application configurations to resolve errors.
- Tracks and fully documents changes; writes detailed procedures for permanent records and for use in training.
- Responds to reports of operational problems and requests for assistance; provides operational support and implements fixes and additional features.
- Identifies opportunities for improving business processes; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop and deploy new systems.
- Provides technical assistance in training all levels of SAP users; develops SAP user procedures and training curriculum; conducts training sessions.
- Analyzes ERP systems technical literature and translates in terms understandable to end users.
- Stays abreast of current trends, literature, and technologies in the field of ERP management.
- Coordinates and reviews new functional business requirements and determines the impact on the production SAP environment.
- Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years as Senior SAP MM Functional Consultant experience including:
- Purchasing, procurement cycles, and vendor management.
- Inventory management and goods movement.
- Invoice verification and integration with FI.
- Release strategies and approval workflows.
- MRP planning strategies and execution.
- Advanced English is essential for the role
- In depth understanding and practical application of SAP configuration.
- In-depth experience in configuring and managing the implementation of: Materials Management, Procurement, Vendor Master, Invoice Management, and Payment Processing
- Experience in configuring and managing the implementation of: SCM, LE, or other SAP areas a plus.
- Configure SAP P2P and SAP MM systems to meet client business requirements
- At least two (2) full lifecycle implementations as an SAP P2P and/or SAP MM functional consultant
- Familiarity with custom development lifecycle, debugging and collaboration with ABAP teams
- Experience with data migration tools (LSMW, Migration Cockpit)
- Ability to manage projects in a timely manner or clearly anticipate and communicate project issues.
- Ability to work with information system users under stressful conditions.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot ERP system problems and recommend appropriate alternatives.

- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
- Working knowledge of transportation management systems.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Experience working with 3rd party off-shore support companies
- Experience with the Baked Goods manufacturing and distribution process
- Experience handling integrations and customizations
- Ability to support multiple SAP modules
- Ability to support non-SAP applications (3rd party and custom developed applications)
- Experience with SAP Integration (PI)/BTP
Physical Requirements:
- Up to 20% travel
Schedule: This is a Monday–Friday day position, 60% office - 40% home office. This role is based on Mexico City being part of a Global Team. Working in an Easten Time Zone (US & Canada).
