Job Purpose and Overview
Coordinate SAP system activities and operations with Dawn Business users, including development, maintenance, and enhancement of existing SAP Procure to Pay (P2P) module. The SAP Procurement Analyst must be able to provide guidance and direction to peers and business counterparts to independently lead technology projects and initiatives. This role will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing SAP solutions to support finance operations and business objectives.
Schedule: This is a Monday–Friday day position, 60% office - 40% home office. This role is based on Mexico City being part of a Global Team. Working in an Easten Time Zone (US & Canada).
What will you do as an SAP BA PROCUREMENT II at Dawn Foods?:
- Lead the design, configuration, development, and deployment of SAP procurement processes.
- Implement and optimize the full procurement cycle: purchase requisitions (PR) to purchase orders (PO), stock transport orders (STO), goods receipt, invoice verification, release strategies, and procurement reporting.
- Strong understanding of SAP MRP processes and integration with external planning and replenishment systems.
- Configure system enhancements and coordinate testing of system modifications.
- Analyze SAP system processes and user needs to resolve critical development issues and propose both short- and long-term solutions.
- Support departmental use of SAP modules by evaluating requirements, implementing solutions, and coordinating testing of released objects.
- Develop and document strategies, standards, policies, and procedures for ERP business processes.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and technical direction for SAP P2P processes, managing complex and analytical deliverables.
- Administer and coordinate system upgrades and patches; lead large-scale system modification projects.
- Consult with business process owners to define and document operational needs, procedures, and system access levels.
- Analyze and develop requirements for system enhancements, ensuring alignment with user needs.
- Execute and coordinate system integration testing, resolve configuration errors, and document changes for training and permanent records.
- Provide operational support, implement fixes and new features, and respond to user issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and support proposal development for new systems.
- Deliver technical training across all SAP user levels; develop training materials and conduct sessions.
- Translate ERP technical literature into user-friendly language.
- Stay current with ERP trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Review new functional business requirements and assess their impact on the SAP production environment.
- Perform related duties as required
What does it take to be an SAP BA SCM II at Dawn Foods:
- Over 8 years of experience as a Senior SAP MM Functional Consultant, with deep expertise in:
- Purchasing, procurement cycles, and vendor management.
- Inventory management and goods movement.
- Invoice verification and integration with FI.
- Release strategies and approval workflows.
- MRP planning strategies and execution.
- Advanced English is essential for the role
- Extensive hands-on experience in configuring and implementing SAP Materials Management, Procurement, Vendor Master, Invoice Management, and Payment Processing.
- Experience with related SAP modules such as SCM and LE is a plus.
- Proven track record in configuring SAP P2P and MM systems to meet complex business requirements.
- Successfully led at least two full lifecycle implementations as an SAP P2P/MM consultant.
- Skilled in custom development lifecycle, debugging, and collaboration with ABAP teams.
- Proficient in data migration tools such as LSMW and Migration Cockpit.
- Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to anticipate and communicate issues proactively.
- Effective under pressure, with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve ERP system issues and recommend alternatives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across teams.
- Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems and logistics processes.
- Experience supporting third-party and custom-developed applications, including SAP Integration (PI/BTP).
- Familiarity with offshore support models and coordination.
- Industry experience in baked goods manufacturing and distribution, with a strong understanding of related business processes.
- Capable of supporting multiple SAP modules and ensuring seamless integration across systems.
