Job Purpose and Overview
As Manager Supply Chain and Customer Service DACH and Nordics you are the connection between production, sales & customers.
You lead a team of supply chain and customer service professionals in the Darmstadt location. You will be responsible for Supply Chain and Customer Service activities across the DACH and Nordics regions. You will manage the inventory planning & replenishment of raw materials, buy-sell goods and finished goods.
Next to that, you manage and organize warehousing, transportation and customer service, ensuring a maximum service level to our customers, On Time In Full delivery of our goods, against optimal costs.
You will lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the DACH and Nordics regions, translating the sales forecast into production planning of finished goods and replenishment of raw materials and buy-sell goods.
This position reports to the VP Supply Chain and Customer Service Europe & AMEAP and is a member of the Darmstadt site leadership team. Based in Darmstadt.
What will you do as a Manager Supply Chain and Customer Service at Dawn Foods?
- Lead and develop a team of 6 supply chain specialists and 6 customer service officers across the DACH and Nordics regions
- Oversee warehousing, transportation, inventory planning, replenishment, production planning, and intercompany sales processes.
- Drive the development of strong 3PL logistics partnerships and contracts to ensure maximum service under optimal Supply Chain costs.
- Full budget responsibility to drive cost recovery and efficiencies. Be responsible for the OPEX, Warehouse & Transport Budget.
- Drive supply chain excellence through continuous process improvement, cost control, and reduction of working capital. Steer the Supply Chain & Customer Service performance by implementing best in class KPI’s, measured following a high frequent PDCA process.
- Build and lead a robust S&OP process, focused on obtaining the highest Customer Forecast Accuracy, translated in optimal Inventory management and Service level to our customers.
- Ensure excellent customer service through collaboration with internal stakeholders and effective complaint management
- Steer the Supply Chain & Customer Service performance by implementing best in class KPI’s, measured following a high frequent PDCA process.
- Serve as central contact for planning, purchasing, logistics, and intercompany sales topics
- Act as SAP Key User and provide commercial support to Sales, Marketing, and Accounts
What Does It Take to be a Manager Supply Chain and Customer Service at Dawn Foods?
You are a hands-on leader with a strong strategic mindset and a passion for delivering supply chain and customer service excellence. You are motivated by developing your team and continuously improving service levels and processes.
Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following profile:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in supply chain & customer service, ideally in the food processing or pharma industry.
- At least 3 years of management experience with direct team leadership
- Strong competency in organizational awareness, cross-functional thinking, customer focus, process improvement and cost efficiency
- Proficient in SAP and experienced in KPI monitoring, S&OP, and internal/external stakeholder collaboration
- Fluent in German and English
