During your 3-year traineeship to become a Food Technology Expert (IHK certified), you will work in all areas of our production and get to know the various stages of the production process: from the arrival of raw materials to the finished packaged product.

You will be taught how to set up, monitor and operate our computer-aided production systems according to recepies, as well as knowledge in the area of quality safety, food development, food standards and system maintenance. Between the various production and packaging systems and workflows you can expect a diverse and responsible job. Even as a trainee, you will be integrated into the existing team and can get an idea of the day-to day- work of a machine and plant operator.

The traineeship takes place at our Darmstadt (Germany) site. You will also attend vocational school in Darmstadt in block lessons. The work and training will take place in shifts.

Scope of the traineeship:

• Providing and preparing raw materials, additives, auxiliary materials and semi-finished products
• Controlling production processes
• Providing and using packaging materials and packaging of products
• Cleaning, care and maintenance of equipment, machines and facilities
• Analysis of food ingredients
• Testing and verifying food quality

Your strenghts:

• You have successfully completed the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) or have a good secondary school leaving certificate
• You have a keen interest in natural sciences and the production of food
• You have a good technical understanding
• You are communicative, a team player and flexible
• You are characterized by high accuracy and diligence
• Independence, reliability and hygiene awareness are a matter of principle for you
• You are prepared to work in shifts
