Job Purpose and Overview

The Financial Analyst I, under supervision, plays a key role in supporting the financial activities of the North America Supply Chain Team. This position requires a meticulous and organized professional to handle month-end close tasks, including balance sheet reconciliations for Supply Chain, extracting reports, analyzing Supply Chain company processes to assist with decision-making, conducting various financial analyses, and more.

 

This is a hybrid role that requires residency near Jackson, MI, or Detroit, MI, to facilitate on-site work at the Home Office or Romulus Distribution Center as needed. Up to 15% travel is required.

 

What will you do as a Financial Analyst I at Dawn Foods? 

  • Under supervision, supports all avenues of financial assistance to the North America Supply Chain Team.
  • Completes assigned month-end close Tasks including balance sheet reconciliations across Distribution Centers which require a detailed and organized approach.
  • Periodically extracts and analyses reports that are beneficial for decision-making within the North America Supply Chain Team.
  • Performs assigned financial analysis.
  • Assists in the development of business policies.
  • Works collaboratively across company functions and the entire finance team to reach Dawn's overall business goals.
  • Provides backup support for other Finance positions as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Demonstrates the “Dawn Values” of Team Dawn and supports the Circle of Excellence.

 

What Does It Take to be a Financial Analyst I at Dawn Foods?  

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline or 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree
  • A completed internship or 1 year of professional work experience in Finance, Accounting, or similar is strongly preferred
  • SAP and Oracle experience desired.
  • Proficiency in the use of Excel, including Visual Basic, and Powerpoint.
  • Ability to communicate complex situations in easy-to-understand and digestible thoughts.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet short deadlines.
  • Ability to provide financial support and handle multiple tasks within an open and interactive environment

Compensation

$55,900-$84,970 + Bonus Potential
