Job Purpose and Overview

PC Technician II supports and maintains laptops, desktops, tablets, and peripherals. This includes installing, imaging, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading a wide range of IT hardware, software and services. Technicians provide friendly and efficient customer service and communicates technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner.

 

Work Environment: This is an onsite role based at our Home Office in Jackson, MI. The standard working schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Please note that relocation assistance is not available for this position.

 

What will you do as a PC Technician II at Dawn Foods? 

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting advanced problems with computer hardware and software.
  • Resolve issues in-person, via remote session, via email, via phone and via chat.
  • Install, troubleshoot or repair Windows applications.
  • Escalate tickets to a Tier 3 Technician in the event that an incident or request cannot be resolved at the Tier 2 level.
  • Work independently and with minimum supervision.
  • Image computers and transferring user data.
  • Detect and remove viruses.
  • Maintain and update documentation in the Knowledge Base.
  • Document errors, troubleshoot steps, repairs and resolution using the ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user incidents and requests including but not limited to the Microsoft operating system, Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365 Suite, VPN, 2 Factor Authentication, remote tools, and Encryption.
  • Setup, configuration, and coordination of AV equipment and related software for onsite meetings and Town Hall Meetings.
  • Replace damaged or faulty computer hardware when necessary.
  • Work as a team and escalate issues to appropriate teams.
  • Follow established processes and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

 

What Does It Take to be a PC Technician II at Dawn Foods?  

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience working with PC technologies or related training.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, software and networking.
  • Knowledge of Windows OS.
  • Familiarity with Anti-Virus software.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are needed to provide effective customer service.
  • The ability to analyze, summarize and solve user problems in a calming manner.
  • Have basic familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures.
  • The ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Ability to relate to all levels of the user community, translate technical language to lay audiences, and organize and manage priorities.
  • The ability to adapt to different surroundings and situations.
  • Strong documentation, technical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong relationship skills.
  • Demonstrate the “Dawn Values” of Team Dawn and supports the Dawn Circle of Excellence.

  • The normal setting for this position is on-site at the Home Office in Jackson, MI.

Compensation

$49,240-$73,860 with bonus eligibility
