Shift Schedule:
- Monday – Friday: Dependent on route, average 5 days per week.
- Start Times range from: 12:00 am - 5:00 am (dependent on route)
- End Times range from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm (until the route has been completed)
- Routes will not exceed DOT hours.
- Minimum of 1 overnight route per week.
Job Purpose and Overview
As a Driver for Dawn Foods, you will be responsible for completion of daily route as assigned in a timely manner, with safety and production in focus. Obeying all federal, state, and local rules and regulations of the road including all DOT operating and recording procedures. Conducting daily face to face interaction with customers; representing Dawn Foods in a friendly, competent, and professional manner. Duties may include but not be limited to breaking down product, shelf stacking, offloading with electric pallet jacks, performing pre and post trip vehicle inspections as well as collecting invoice receipts that are generated from the deliveries.
What Does It Take to be a CDL Class A Driver at Dawn Foods?
Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.
- Class “A” CDL License in good standing
- Ability to work in the United States
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Minimum of 6 months Class A Commercial driving experience
- Must be able to lift 50+ pound repeatedly
- Ability to operate MHE equipment
- Experience delivering into food service accounts is preferred
- Lift-gate, reefer, electric pallet jack and forklift experience helpful
- Computer skills helpful

- Ability to withstand cool and/or cold temperatures.
- Normal setting for this job is outdoors and/or driving a video/GPS monitored vehicle.
- Will be exposed to a physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday.
