As a Maintenance Coordinator Intern, you’ll work directly with the Jackson Manufacturing Maintenance team to ensure preventative maintenance tasks are scheduled efficiently, parts inventory is properly cataloged and monitored.
Work Eligibility & Travel Requirements: 5 days a week working on-site at our Jackson, Michigan Manufacturing site.
Interns will be required to be on-site at the Corporate Jackson office from May 18 - May 21 for onboarding, and from August 4 - 7 for final presentations. These are mandatory in-person participation dates for the internship program.
What Does It Take to be a Maintenance Coordinator Intern?
Below are the minimum qualifications for the Dawn Inspire Internship Program.
- Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree, with an interest in working in the Consumer Product Goods or Food industry.
- The candidate should be entering their junior year or beyond.
- Current academic status must reflect good performance in relation to institutional academic standards.
- Strong interest in manufacturing operations.
- Ability to develop, organize, and manage task schedules and complex parts inventory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Adaptability and willingness to embrace feedback and eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: Wheat/Gluten, Soy, Egg, Milk, Peanut, Treenut, and Sesame Seeds

What You'll Do as a Maintenance Coordinator Intern
- Conduct research on assigned topics and present findings to the team.
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
- Shadow and learn from experienced professionals in your field of interest.
- Actively seek opportunities to learn and develop new skills relevant to your career goals.
- Take initiative to suggest process improvements and contribute innovative ideas.
- Demonstrate the “Dawn Values” of Team Dawn and support our culture throughout the duration of the Internship Program.
- Identified projects that you will be responsible for:
- Preventative Maintenance scheduling, tracking, and follow up.
- Parts inventory cataloging, monitoring, system migration.
- Manufacturing process equipment review for critical parts identification.
- Other duties as assigned

Compensation
Undergraduate - $26/hr
Graduate - $28/hr
