Job Purpose and Overview

We are excited to offer an opportunity to join Dawn Foods as Accounting Lead supporting the European region. In this role, you will manage key financial processes and ensure compliance with global accounting standards, initially focusing on supporting our operations in Germany. As a result, intermediate German language skills are required. This position offers the chance to be part of a growing team, with the potential for further development as we expand our SSC’s scope across Europe.

What will you do as an Accounting Lead at Dawn Foods?

• Lead financial accounting and reporting processes, focusing on timely and accurate monthly consolidation of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and group financial requirements, particularly for our German operations, including internal and external audits.
• Support Local compliance as tax returns, and relevant filings (CIT, VAT, etc.) providing information to internal and external tax specialists.
• Manage monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, addressing discrepancies with the team promptly.
• Implement and manage cash flow forecasting and reporting for the business.
• Maintain control over the fixed asset register and ensure compliance applicable standards.
• Review and maintain close communication with the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams to ensure clean and accurate balances.
• Account to Report activities, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts, with an initial focus on German cost centres.
• Collaborate with local teams, including HR and Customer Service, to provide financial insights and support.

What Does It Take to be an Accounting Lead at Dawn Foods?

You are a detail-focused finance professional with strong experience in financial processes and reporting, particularly in a multinational environment. You are excited about working in an international SSC and have the skills to support both local and regional finance teams.

Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a multinational financial reporting environment.
• Relevant professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA, CIMA) is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SAP experience is advantageous.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Intermediate German is required due to the focus on Germany.
