Job Purpose and Overview

Working within the CMED Supply Chain department in Palmela, supporting the production planner and providing a best-in-class service to the Palmela Factory to support the demand of Dawn Foods customers.

Be a support to Production Planner having the ability to step into his roll in busy times or holiday periods.

 

What will you do as a Production Planner Junior at Dawn Foods?

  • Resource Planner – for CMED Bakery
  • Resource Planner – Manage the orders received from other Dawn sites for EU, AMEAP & APAC
  • Inventory Control – manage levels of stocks to ensure correct stocks to meet demand of Customers and Intercompany
  • Inventory Control – manage the stock at risk and facilitate the team stock at risk review meeting
  • Stocks at Risk – understand stocks, managing overstocks, out of date stocks and short shelf life to minimise cost impact
  • Scrap report – analysis of the scrap report for the month end EU KPI reports
  • Stock Accuracy – ensure stock produced is accurate in the ERP system
  • Point of contact – Communicate clearly and effectively to all service providers and customers to Bakery planning.  Include Dawns third party customers, intercompany, Evesham plant (Quality, Production, Finance, Commercial) and Warehouse & Transport providers      
  • Customer Order Management – Order shortages rectified or communicated to Customer Services of an exceptional shortage with reasons
  • Hold Status Stocks – Work with Evesham Quality to minimise customer shortage taking into consideration stock rotation
  • Process Order Management - Manage all your process orders created to the factory are closed out correctly, either cancelled or back flushed.
  • Plan Attainment – Support the Evesham plant in calculating plan attainment.
  • Master Data Cleansing – periodic review of all master data to include : Safety Stocks, Re-order Quantities, Minimum Order Quantities, Made to Stock or Order, Planning Groups
  • Product Portfolio  - Alignment with SAP to Portfolio on Supply Chain Master Data.
  • Demand Planning – Align  forecast knowledge to planning expectations.  Escalation of capacity constraints, stock objective queries and any such scenario that is a gap between short term planning and the longer term demand plan
  • S&OP – Supply Planning, work with Slim4 system to review exceptions of forecast v actual to support cleansing data and preparing Slim4 for integration into the supply planning process.  Flag customer_product forecasts that require review for accuracy
  • OTIF – prepare the weekly OTIF for the team to update on their reason codes and comments.  Update all weekly EU reports;
  • Planning KPI’s – Work together with production to collate a suite of KPI’s lineside – Capacity v Actual at Product line level, Operational Efficiency, Short Interval Change.  Feedback loop into S&OP
  • Support Holiday Cover -  Rotation holiday cover for colleagues in Planning Roles & Resource Planning Roles.

What Does it take to be a Junior Production Planning at Dawn Foods:

  • Bachelor`s degree in Logistics
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in the role
  • Advanced skills in Excel and experience working with SAP
  • Experience working in a multinational company
