JOB SUMMARY:
This is a key finance role to be a strategic business partner for commercial cluster(s) in delivering profitable growth while providing a full spectrum of financial control. As a business partner the aim is to provide better insights through analysis, reporting and active communication. Evaluate changing market conditions within the bakery market and analyze our commercial effectiveness to drive growth and profitability. Have ownership and governance of the profit & loss and help to manage the budget and forecasting process to provide strategic support to the commercial team (Sales and marketing).
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
- Responsible for all financial matters supporting the regional Finance Manager, Commercial Leaders and teams to make optimal business decisions to drive growth and continuous profitability improvement.
- Ownership of commercial cluster Profit and Loss for the respective commercial cluster(s).
- Maintaining a robust commercial cluster OPEX control structure and supporting cost saving activities in specific areas.
- Ownership of the budget and forecasting processes of the commercial clusters(s) that meet the group requirements.
- Ensuring month-end close and reporting activities are correctly and timely performed.
- Pricing analytics partnering with sales to make recommendations on pricing position, perform reviews and updates as necessary when cost drivers change.
- Analyze financial data, market trends and the performance of sales and marketing campaigns.
- Ensure that regular management reporting as well as local commercial and other requested reports are of high quality and adding value to the user.
- Support balance sheet reconciliation for commercial related accounts.
- Support company’s financial accounting, reporting and control activities.
- Support year-end accounting, auditing & statutory accounts processes, through providing timely and accurate input (covering but not limited to, customer rebates, OPEX accruals, sales incentives) to meet the reporting requirements.
- Work closely with other team members and will provide cover where and when necessary.
- Act as local Key user for controlling module for all systems used within the organization (including but not limited to SAP/Oracle/BI). Understand the related business processes.
- Support ERP upgrades and implementations from a commercial point by ensuring all local requirements are met including master data
- Perform any other reasonable duties required.
Requirements:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, or Controlling, preferably in FMCG/food or manufacturing.
- Strong expertise in P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, pricing analysis, and OPEX control.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and BI tools; advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Proven ability to analyze market trends, sales performance, and marketing effectiveness to drive profitability.
- Excellent communication skills with experience in partnering sales & marketing teams and influencing decisions.
- Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and ability to manage month-end close, reporting, and ERP projects.
