Job Purpose and Overview

The Sales Director Poland plays a key leadership role within Dawn Foods, responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy that will drive revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen our relationships with customers throughout Poland. You will report to the General Manager Poland and operate in a dynamic environment, leading a team of 12 sales professionals and collaborating closely with production, logistics, and marketing to ensure seamless customer service and delivery. Our business is evolving rapidly, with notable shifts in market segments and high expectations for innovation and operational excellence. The main challenge for this role is to combine strategic vision with hands-on leadership—driving results in a competitive and fast-changing bakery and confectionery market, where deep local experience and strong networks are essential to succeed.

This role requires regular travel (approximately 40–50%) across Poland, including attendance at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings. You will also spend time in the Poznań office on a regular basis but are not required to be based there full-time.

What will you do as a Sales Director at Dawn Foods?

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with business objectives and market trends in Poland
  • Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team (4 fte Key Account Managers, 4 fte Sales Representatives, 3.5 fte Sales Application Specialists) to achieve individual and team targets
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive expansion into new markets and customer segments—including artisanal bakeries, retail chains, and the rapidly growing sport nutrition sector
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring high customer satisfaction
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust strategies accordingly and stay ahead in a competitive marketplace
  • Collaborate closely with production, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure efficient operations and customer service
  • Prepare and manage the sales budget, forecasts, and performance reports, ensuring alignment with Dawn’s business goals
  • Represent Dawn Foods at industry events, trade shows, and important client meetings, being a visible ambassador of our brand

 

What does it take to be a Sales Director at Dawn Foods?

You are a hands-on, strategic leader who thrives in a fast-paced, competitive environment and inspires teams to deliver results. You combine deep market knowledge—especially in bakery and confectionery—with outstanding relationship-building skills and a drive for excellence.

Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in sales, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving sales targets
  • In depth knowledge of the food industry and especially the bakery/confectionery sector
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Native Polish language skills and good command of English
  • Excellent strategic thinking, hands-on problem-solving, and analytical capabilities
